Roylene Crawford Honored With Heritage Award

Roylene Crawford, CVFM, IFMG, Kittitas County Fair (WA), Honored With Heritage Award

Salt Lake City, UT – The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) proudly honors current WSFA President Roylene Crawford, CVFM, IFMG, Kittitas County Fair (WA), with a Heritage Award. This distinguished recognition was announced on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the IAFE Convention and Trade Show held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

"The Heritage Award honors five individuals each year who have a minimum of 10 years of fair management experience and receive less than $2,500 remuneration annually over expenses," Marla Calico, CFE, President and CEO of the IAFE, said. "Roylene made it a point to complete the IAFE's Institute of Fair Management so that she could be a better leader at the Kittitas County Fair. We are honored to recognize Roylene for her dedication to the fair industry."

Sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, this award recognizes fair management personnel who have invested significant effort into making their organization a valuable part of the community.

Crawford started volunteering for the Kittitas County Fair in Washington in the 1980s and has currently served on the Kittitas County Fair Board for the last 26 years. She was elected Fair Board President from 2012 to 2014 and served as Secretary and Treasurer from 2000 to 2011 and again from 2014 to now.However, different from the other Board members, Crawford has served many hours over the latest years working in the Fair Office as a volunteer as well.

Roylene had quite a hometown crowd cheering her on, as many WSFA Fairs were represented at the IAFE convention as well as many WSFA Service Members.
