During
the 2018 legislative session, WSFA supported a bill to update the
language relating to the Fair Fund. Now the Washington State Department
of Agriculture is required to update their rules relating to the Fair
Fund. The attached document shows the existing rule language with
proposed changes. Words that are underlined are new language being
added. Words that have a line through them are being deleted. On page
2, a new section is being added. The primary intent of the changes is
to make the rule easier to understand.
The
department accepted public comment during Washington State Fairs
Convention in October.With the comments received, the new rule will go through the final review process..
