THE LEGEND OF THE PIONEERS!
What happens when you unite three dynamic artists and long-time friends?
Marty Davis
Marty Davis was born in Medford, Oregon, and grew up ridin' the trails of Southern Oregon in the style of his Silver Screen heroes Hoppy, Gene, Rex, and Roy. Before long he was performing with Country Music Legend Rose Maddox in Las Vegas. Then, along with his seven-piece band, he began headlining his own show in casinos, nightclubs, fairs and rodeos throughout the U.S. and Canada. He co-hosted a tv series with Miss Hawai'i as well as several travel-oriented shows for ESPN. One of the most popular parts of his musical show was always the Western music segment so, after several years singing bass and traveling the world with the legendary Fifties group, The Diamonds, Marty returned to his personal favorite – Western Music. After a few years of performing as a single act, he decided to change it up a bit by adding two other great singers to the show!
Daniel Hanson
Daniel began his musical career at age 2 with the Hanson Family Singers. Through the years, their incredible harmonies and fresh vocal arrangements gained them much recognition in the Western music world. The Family won the Academy of Western Artists “Group of the Year” award in 2014 and 2017, the WMA Crescendo Award, the Kamloops Cowboy Festival “Rising Star Showcase," Western Music Association "Best of the Best" harmony award in 2015 and 2016, and the 2005 WMA "Youth Yodeler of the Year." Their album “Rhythm Rides Again” reached #3 on the Western Music Charts, and #2 on the Western Swing Charts, as well as winning “Album of the Year” in 2020.
They entertained across the US and Canada at many cowboy music festivals, various concert series, fairs, and hundreds of other events and venues. When the other members retired to spend time with their families, Daniel joined The Marty Davis Show in 2017.
Lindy Rasmusson
Raised in the "not-so-country" town of North Hollywood, California, Lindy Rasmusson grew up to the "California Country Sound" of The Eagles, Fogelberg, Michael Martin Murphey and Asleep at the Wheel. As one of the founding members of the Doo-Wah Riders, the host band for the Academy of Country Music, he backed up or opened for nearly every major Country music act during the 40 years on the road.
A songwriter as well as graphic artist, Lindy also dabbles in acting on the side and was in the movie Basic Instinct, starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone.
Lindy was coaxed out of retirement to join Marty and Daniel to form... THE LEGEND OF THE PIONEERS!
