Community Attributes – presentation of Economic Impact Study of Washington Fairs
Community Attributes Inc. (CAI), a Seattle based consulting firm, will share findings from their Economic Impact Study of Washington State’s
Fairs, commissioned by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. We will summarize the direct, indirect, and induced economic impact of Washington’s youth, community, county, and area fairs through analysis of fair and vendor operations, visitor and attendee spending, and regional and state impacts. Beyond the quantifiable impacts of jobs, income and business revenues, this presentation will discuss findings on the social, cultural, and educational importance of fairs for Washington youth, families, and communities. The presentation will culminate with recommendations on how the findings from the study can support WSFA membership.
